The Milligan-White family tree began in the stories collected by Hilda (White) Milligan as she listened to her parents and parents-in-law talk about their lives. She passed her love of history and interest in family history/gossip on to her daughter Mary Leah. In the 1980s Hilda wrote many letters to distant cousins and gathered more information. With the advent of the World Wide Web, it became possible to check out some of the facts that she had gathered.
